Statutory guidance Rent repayment orders under the Housing and Planning Act 2016
Guidance to help local authorities use their powers to seek a rent repayment order against a landlord in the private rented sector.
The Housing and Planning Act 2016 extended rent repayment orders to cover illegal eviction, breach of a banning order and certain other specified offences.
This comes into force on 6 April 2017.
