Harborough Energy has entered into a partnership with Harborough District Council to deliver energy efficiency improvements to local housing. The programme, Harborough Warm Homes, will help the council achieve affordable warmth and support households that are vulnerable to the effects of living in cold, damp housing.

Through the development of a local installer framework we can:

·         Improve awareness of energy efficiency measures. Improving energy efficiency through referrals to capital measures grants programmes.

·         Develop the local skill base and supply chain to build capacity and increase confidence in the local economy.

·         Leverage funding streams as they become available to support and add capacity and sustainability to the service.

·         It keeps installer prices competitive.

·         Secure income from referral fees to make the service entirely self-financing which means that the service will continue after the end of the Sustainable Harborough project!  Furthermore, we are now operating this service on behalf of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and North West Leicestershire District Council.
