Funding is available for landlords to assist in bringing properties up to the required energy efficiency standards.  If your property has an EPC rating of E, F or G and your tenants are on a low income or in receipt of certain benefits, you could receive funding up to £5000 to help make improvements to the property such as loft or wall insulation.

The Government is currently considering proposals to increase the current energy efficiency standard in private rented properties from EPC band E to EPC Band C by 2025 for new tenancies and 2028 for existing tenancies. Landlords can apply for this Green Homes Grant funding to help improve their properties move towards the required standards.  But don’t delay as the grant funding is limited.
