Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, (LFR), have transitioned across to the nationally recognised Home Fire Safety Visits (HFSV’s).  Our visits will focus on 8 core components and ensure vulnerable members of the communities receive consistent advice and support on topics that create the most risk in domestic dwellings.  To support our face to face visits that can be requested on our website - Home Fire Safety Visit – Online Home Fire Safety Check - Lincolnshire County Council we are also part of a national partnership that allows individuals to complete an on-line assessment of the risks in their homes.

We are asking and encouraging all landlords to not only ensure their properties have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, but also to ensure an online assessment of risk is carried out.  Please use the following link https://www.safelincs.co.uk/hfsc/?ref=LFR and ask that all residents complete the assessment.  Where risks are identified an automated process generates a referral through to LFR.

LFR also recognise that the cost of living challenge has the potential to see individuals making decisions that could result in the risk of fire and accidents in the home increased.  We would like all landlords to share the attached safety leaflet with their tenants to support and offer safety advice in these difficult times.
