Private Rented Accommodation – Tenant Finder Service
To streamline the process for landlords and agents to enable a direct point of contact with regards to private rented accommodation, Boston Borough Council and East Lindsey District Council have begun operating a tenant finder service.
The service enables landlords and agents with properties across Boston and East Lindsey, to match their available accommodation to people currently working with the Housing Options Teams, who are looking for housing in the private rented sector. Our client group ranges from individuals to families, both employed and unemployed with referencing available.
We will advertise your property for free to potential tenants and ensure any criteria set out by you for applicants is included.
You will always retain full control of your property, so you are under no obligation to take a tenant and can continue to advertise elsewhere.
The current scheme incentives are -
- no tenant finder fee to pay
- accommodation team available to liaise directly with during the tenant finder process
- assistance to ensure all required documents and information are prescribed at the start of any tenancy
- help with Right to Rent checks
- affordability checks and advice given to the tenant regarding benefit claims (where applicable)
- advice on direct housing benefit/universal credit housing costs payments
