You’ve fitted smoke alarms in your rented property to safeguard your tenants in case of fire. But would your tenant be able to react to the smoke alarm sound? Do they know what it sounds like? Would they be able to safely evacuate from the property?

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue (LFR) can undertake a Safe and Well Check for anyone through their website by self-assessment but for those who are particularly more vulnerable a home visit may be more appropriate.

Anyone who is a Smoker, Hoarder, Elderly, has Reduced mobility, Mental health issues, Alcohol or substance dependence or Needs care and support could potentially be more at risk of a fire.
