COVID-19 Early Outbreak Management Action Card for Landlords

Charnwood Borough Council and PHE have put together a COVID-19 Early Outbreak Management Action Card for Private Sector Housing Landlords and Letting Agents.

This information provides key steps to quickly identify and contain any potential COVID-19 outbreak.

CBC are also contacting landlords across Loughborough and the wider borough to inform them of a service launched by Loughborough University for students. If you are (or are considering) letting your property to students or have friends and/or family members who are letting their property to students, please read on, and make your tenants aware.

Connect and Protect

Loughborough University has launched Connect and Protect, a process that has been developed to support the national Test and Trace system by enabling the university to track possible and confirmed COVID-19 cases on campus, and helps to identify those who may have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 symptoms.

The university has asked that any students who have symptoms to complete and submit the University’s Connect and Protect form. They will then be contacted by a member of the University’s specially-trained support team, who will ask them to confirm the details provided on the form and ask about the people they have been in close contact with during the two-day period before their symptoms began.

It also gives students an opportunity to ask for support with food shopping, medication, library books, and for support on their mental health in general.

Self-reporting tool:

This tool allows you to report to the University incidents of: Domestic Violence (including honour based), Bullying and Harassment, Stalking, Hate Incidents (including racism, homophobia etc.), Safeguarding, Sexual Violence, Mental Health and Wellbeing (including self-harm and suicide attempts), Substance Misuse and any other welfare concerns.
