The regulations which make the changes for increasing the length of notices to six months in England have now been published.

From 29th August the minimum notice period for seeking possession will be six months by default, but regulations published on Friday 28th Aug 2020 mean landlords will only need to give tenants, who have committed anti-social behaviour, four weeks’ notice of their intention to repossess a property. Those who have committed acts of domestic violence will only need to be given two weeks’ notice.

This is extremely complicated and varies according to which ground you seek possession on.
