About the Scheme

Why choose DASH Landlord Accreditation?

DASH specialises in accreditation and was launched over 15 years ago so we know the business of accreditation.

The scheme is run by Derby City Council on behalf of Local Authority all across the England.

The DASH Accreditation package includes not only a nationally recognised training qualification but also a Virtual Inspection.

Landlords use the Virtual Inspection as a ‘sense check’ to give them reassurances that their rental homes meet the necessary standards for letting ahead of any visit from the Local Authority for licensing purposes. In addition with the implemetation of the Homes Fitness for Human Habitation legislation our inspections help landlords get it right first time to avoid costly fines.

DASH landlord accreditation helps landlords to stand out from others in the lettings market and gets them recognised as someone with a proven record of good management with their tenants and their properties.

As well as earning a nationally recognised award, we aim to give a service to our landlords which helps support them in delivering a successful letting business. To this end we provide a comprehensive resource library, E-newsletters and alerts on up and coming information & free training opportunities.

DASH Landlord Accreditation is actively looking to recruit those landlords who can demonstrate their commitment to maintaining and growing their business skills.

Our Scheme Manual DASH Manual updated 1st Dec 2023.pdf (dashservices.org.uk) sets out what we hope to achieve and how we will go about it. In it you will find the standards we expect in terms of property condition and conduct of our members.

In order to offer confidence in our service, DASH has clear policies and proceedures  DASH Landlord Accreditation Cancellation Policy  &  DASH Landlord Accreditation Complex Case Policy

It is the role of the DASH Accreditation and Appeals Panel (AAP) to to ensure the scheme is delivered fairly    AAP Terms of Reference

DASH works in partnership with a range of local authorities who recognise the value of the scheme as such offer certain incentives or discounts.

For example once accredited with DASH our members are automatically passported into the Nottingham Rental Standard and can use the Nottingham specific marketing pack & pay a reduce license fee. Portsmouth City Council also recognise DASH landlord accreditation and offer our landlords longer terms on their licenses.
